A few years ago I learned about David Leffel and his his painting style on YouTube. When I first saw his videos and his style of Abstract Realism I knew then I had found my teacher. Then I learned of Sherrie McGraw and Jacqueline Kamin. I began to buy books first and my art began to improve rather fast. Then I decided I needed to subscribe to the Artist Guild; and shortly afterward my painting improved as well. I know that I am getting a first-class education and I am well on my way to becoming an artist. For more than a year now I have been getting a great value and a first class education of fine drawing and painting classes from the best.

I appreciate all I’ve learned from watching the BLFA videos of drawing and painting classes. It’s not the easily assimilated, formulaic kind of art instruction one often finds, it is much more challenging. But that’s what I appreciate the most, that I am being challenged to think differently and to really learn how to paint.

I rate Bright Light Fine Art and The Artists Guild along with David Leffel, Sherrie McGraw and Jacqueline Kamin the best at what they do. A person looking to learn art will get a value that far exceeds their expectation and I am sure no one else can match their services and products. Believe me I have searched. You will learn methods, techniques, and practices from three of the best artists of our time. Bright Light Fine Art and The Artists Guild get rated 5 stars from me.

Your form demo is really helpful. It is all starting to come into focus. I actually know most of this stuff and intuitively do a lot of it. I somehow created a vision of painting as being very difficult and if it comes too easily it must not be very good. This is an awakening for me, spending 4 or 5 hours every morning painting along with your demos and listening to the lectures. I am seeing progress almost daily. I see the Atelier movement as a disease in most cases and equating mimesis to mastery as a hoax. Back to cleansing my soul.

I always learn something new whether I am watching for the first time or the third time. They (the drawing and painting classes videos) are complex, they are fun, and most of all they are full of ‘aha’ moments. Love them.

I just watched the video ‘Abstract Realism.’ I had to tell you how much I enjoyed that video as well! I love them all but the videos where you both speak about art are so wonderful. What an amazing gift you both are for each other, you can just tell that there is such a mutual admiration between you both. I truly enjoy those videos. Documenting your work and sharing your thoughts on art for future generations! What a gift to everyone. Imagine if we would have had this technology for all the masters over the last 500 or more years what we would know today!

I just had a chance to watch the video of Jackie painting the rose set up and you speaking—how great it was for me to be able to sit at home and view this. This is a great learning tool for me and I thank you for making these drawing and painting classes and videos available to your fans.

I stayed up until the wee hours reading it from cover to cover, and marveling at your grace, wit and mastery. I mean, really. I’m just speechless about it. Kind of like seeing the Grand Canyon for the first time; there’s just no box in my brain that the beauty can fit into.
