WEEKEND WORKSHOPS - STILL LIFE DEMONSTRATIONS: C.W. MUNDY, SHERRIE MCGRAW - with commentary by DAVID A LEFFEL

Upon meeting C.W. Mundy, his physicality can be intimidating. He towers over most with a booming voice to match, but it doesn’t stop there. When so often most painters find a little niche, a single idea, and mine it for all it’s worth, C.W.’s artistic mind is so prolific, he likely rejects more ideas than most people have in a lifetime…before breakfast.
In the second of our 12 monthly workshops for 2023, we are so pleased to expose you to C.W. Mundy’s artistic legacy through a demonstration on March 18. First we will show just a hint of the breadth of C.W.’s work with a short visual presentation that he’ll comment on while answering questions from the audience, then we’ll launch into a pre-recorded demonstration of one of his inventive still-lifes where he will explain his process and artistic thinking.
He is a natural painter, bursting with visual notions that keep him producing art and playing the banjo relentlessly. In addition to his artistic accomplishments, he has also produced a DVD with some of the top musicians in Nashville and somehow finds time for all of this in a mere 24-hour day. We are so pleased to have a long-time friend and colleague join us to share his amazing talent with all of you!

WEEKEND WORKSHOPS - STILL LIFE DEMONSTRATIONS: C.W. MUNDY, SHERRIE MCGRAW & DAVID A LEFFEL

Sunday: David and Sherrie will continue the theme with a presentation that will answer questions you might have about our guest artist’s demonstration. This might include a demonstration or a presentation of images to enhance the theme from the previous day. This will be an opportunity to continue learning from what happens on Saturday and see how it might influence or inform your own work going forward.
