Weekend Workshop - Landscape with Scott Christensen
As one of the top landscape painters in the world, Scott has traveled to foreign countries to paint their beautiful mountains and countrysides, and as a natural teacher, he’s thought about how to help others solve the same problems he’s confronted outside. He often brings humor into learning, and that helps students share his enthusiasm for this art more easily. If you’ve ever been interested in landscape painting but were intimidated by it, Scott will present it to you in a way that will not only remove any fears you might have, but will ignite a fire for capturing the beauty of the great outdoors, no matter where you live.
Landscape Painting Demo with Scott Christensen
On Day One
To start out Scott will preside over a powerful slide presentation of his work that will show us how he sketches on site and then uses these quick studies to create large-scale works indoors. He’ll then present three short demonstrations where he will show his process as viewers ask questions about how he works.

Landscape Demo with Jackie Kamin
On Day Two
Day 2 of our Landscape workshop will kick off with a slide show and discussion of different kinds of landscapes. Then Jackie Kamin will narrate and take questions during a recording of a new demo. The discussion will continue then with live demos as required by David and Sherrie. Join us for this session to solidify anything still unclear from the previous days’ demos.
