Nancy Chaboun: Still Life - Figuratively Speaking

About Nancy Chaboun

A Native Arizonan, Nancy Chaboun lives and works in North Scottsdale. She was introduced to art at an early age by her father, who studied for years with George Bridgeman at the Art Students League. Nancy studied art at Arizona State University and the Institute Allende in San Miguel de Allende Mexico. At 21 she married her husband, Hilal and began a 15 year career in women’s high fashion. Buying from the best European and American designers, as well as doing the visual merchandising and advertising for four stores, helped to develop the sense of taste and elegance she brings to the canvas. Since 1991 she has been happily painting on a full time basis. Nancy also teaches classes and workshops at the Scottsdale Artists’ School as well as various locations in U.S., France and Canada. Teaching is something she loves doing and is honored to have many students year after year. In her own work, she is always striving to learn, see and express more deeply with her art.

Still Life with Figure/ Session 1

Nancy Chaboun has a treasure trove of ideas surrounding putting a figure in a natural setting, complete with still life objects and all the richness of an apposite environment, and she is going to treat you to some of those ideas in June on our Weekly Atelier.

She will paint four different ideas, while continuing work on them in between programs and sharing photographs of the various stages. This way you’ll benefit from working along side her as she paints, or simply being inspired to explore your own environment to find ideas for paintings. We are so excited about this genre that is so natural a part of Nancy’s world.
